Bursting Pomegranate Long Silk Scarf
Often used in medieval tapestries, the bursting pomegranate is a symbol of the Resurrection. Like the fruit of the pomegranate bursts forth in its ripeness, the Lord emerged from the tomb, victorious over death and sin. The red pomegranate fruit represents Christ’s blood shed for humankind—an arresting reminder of His humanity and our salvation.
Inspired by medieval tapestries, I painted a bursting pomegranate and made two scarf designs from it. Wear this scarf to celebrate the mystery and joy of Eastertide and to remind you to put on Christ as St. Paul instructs.
Made from pure silk and printed using permanent reactive inks that bond with the cell of the fiber. All silk is washed prior to being cut, sewn and shipped.
• Scarf is long & rectangular, available in two sizes • Made from 8mm 100% silk habotai
• Each scarf is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada (estimate about two weeks for fulfillment)
• Care instructions included
