Resurrection Bird Square Silk Scarf
This design is called Resurrection Bird for the peacock and the Phoenix that were its inspiration. Both birds are time honored symbols of the Resurrection. Like Christ’s willing shedding of His Blood for us to return in glory with Him to Heaven someday, the peacock releases the old feathers in favor of newly glorious—one might say transfigured!—plumes. And, of course, the Phoenix of mythic charm rises from its own ashes to begin a new life, just as the Christian does with life in Christ and the Church.
Wear this scarf to celebrate the mystery and joy of Eastertide and to remind you to put on Christ as St. Paul instructs.
Made from pure silk and printed using permanent reactive inks that bond with the cell of the fiber. All silk is washed prior to being cut, sewn and shipped.
• Scarf is square, available in four sizes • Made from 8mm 100% silk habotai
• Each scarf is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada (estimate about two weeks for fulfillment)
• Care instructions included
